Lithuanian Insurers Association (LDA) was founded on the 15th of October in 1992, as non profit organisation uniting insurance companies. Presently the Association unites 9 non-life insurance companies and Motor Insurers' Bureau of The Republic of Lithuania.
The Association takes active part in development of insurance sector in Lithuania, helps to increase positive role of insurance industry in Lithuanias economy. The Association represents insurance companies, the members of the Association, in their relations with state and authority institutions, gives information about insurance for press and society, cooperates with foreign partners.
Having the objective to harmonize legislation of insurance industry, the Association maintains close relations with state institutions, represents position of insurers, hold out proposals and projects in preparation of law concern-of interests of insurance companies and their clients, the Association cooperates with state insurance supervision service.
