Compensa Vienna Insurance Group and Seesam Insurance have completed a merger

The non-life insurance companies Compensa Vienna Insurance Group and Seesam Insurance have completed a merger with the permission of the competent authorities. As of 1 July, they will operate as the single company Compensa Vienna Insurance Group, which is headquartered in Lithuania, with branches in Latvia and Estonia. In Lithuania and Latvia, the company will operate under the Compensa Vienna Insurance Group brand, while in Estonia it will operate under the Seesam Insurance brand.

Following the completion of the merger, Compensa Vienna Insurance Group took over all the assets, rights and obligations of Seesam Insurance.

Deividas Raipa, CEO of Compensa Vienna Insurance Group, is the Chairman of the Board of the newly-merged company. Other members of the Board are Nicolas Mucherl, Chief Financial Officer of the Compensa Vienna Insurance Group, and Andri Püvi, Head of the Estonian Branch of the Compensa Vienna Insurance Group. The Latvian branch is headed by Aigars Freimanis.

Important information for customers

Following the merger, Compensa Vienna Insurance Group took over all the rights and obligations, customer contracts, insurance portfolios, employees and assets of Seesam Insurance, Compensa Services LT and Compensa Services LV. In other words, Compensa Vienna Insurance Group will perform all of Seesam Insurance’s obligations without any changes – the existing insurance contracts will remain valid under the terms and conditions set out therein, and in accordance with Seesam Insurance’s rules. The merger will also not affect the validity and execution of other contracts, concluded by Seesam Insurance, Compensa Services LT and Compensa Services LV before the merger.

Following the merger Compensa Vienna Insurance Group also became the new data controller, as it is described in the General data protection regulation, which will process the personal data processed by Seesam Insurance, Compensa Services LT and Compensa Services LV before the merger. The company ensures that personal data is and will be processed responsibly and securely in accordance with all legal requirements.
